Testing Your CalmCarry and Troubleshooting
If you are unsure whether your CalmCarry is working correctly, watch the short video at the bottom of this page for a quick walkthrough. You can also find simple fixes for the most common issues below.
How to test your device
Before you begin, always start at the lowest intensity setting. Place the device in your palm with the metal contact points facing directly down into the centre of your hand. Power on by pressing and holding the side button for around 5 seconds. You should feel a soft, rhythmic pulse within a few seconds of turning it on. Once you are comfortable, increase the intensity gradually until you find a level that feels right for you.
Not feeling any sensation?
Make sure your hands are dry before use as moisture can affect contact. Check that the metal contact points are facing directly down into the palm and sitting firmly against the skin. Try increasing the intensity slowly as some people need a slightly higher setting before they feel the pulse clearly.
Device not turning on?
Your device may need charging. Connect it via the USB-C cable and charge for around 30 minutes before trying again. Avoid charging for longer than 2 hours.
Sensation feels too strong or uncomfortable?
Always start at the lowest intensity and increase slowly. The pulse should feel soft and wave-like, never sharp or jarring. If discomfort continues, reposition the device slightly and make sure the metal points are facing directly into the palm.
Device turning off before 20 minutes?
This is normal if the session has completed. CalmCarry is designed to auto shut-off after approximately 20 minutes.
